Went sketching at a Carnavale street fair in the Mission on Saturday. Spent most of the time eating (as usual) but, for the few pages I did, I decided to break out the water colors again
I took a bike ride down to ocean beach on Sunday and saw this girl playing with a red blanket in the wind. I managed to capture a quick sketch and threw a little watercolor on it.
Perspective was something they taught in school, which I chose to ignore and now I find myself woefully at odds when trying to draw even simple backgrounds or environments. I've been slowly trying to re-teach myself with studies like these:
